We met in May 2008.
We met on myspace with no intentions of anything more than just a few messages. But that turned into all night messaging which turned into texting. And then to us meeting face-to-face a few days later. Our families live about 15 min apart. Weird. So she came home (away at college) for her cousin's birthday the following weekend and we went to the movies. Baby Mama was the movie of choice. It was an interesting night to say the least and while we clicked texting, face to face not so much. We were very different. She was 19 and just finished her freshman year of college, and I was 22 and had just quit a full-time job that I had had for 5 years. We were in very different places in our lives. I was an "adult" that was used to paying bills & working. She was a "child" still answering to her parents & NEVER had a job. I remembered thinking this was fun but definitely wouldnt happen again. She talked non-stop.... lol. We said our goodbyes and she went back to school. She texted me on the way home.. and said "Im sorry I talked so much... I was just nervous." And we texted all night long. It was obvious we were both crushing... we just didnt know what to do about because we were so different. Except our views on love and life. Which I guess is all that really matters. <3 It took her a month to kiss me. And another month to ask me to be her girlfriend. And 2 months before she said she loved me. She definitely does not believe in rushing anything. No lesbian u-haul jokes in this relationship :) We moved in together on our one year anniversary. I love everything about this aspect of our relationship and that everything with her comes in time.
