If you really knew me...

The past couple of weeks I have been seeing these "if you really knew me..." posts on my favorite blogs! (which btw.... my favs are this girl, this girl, and this girl --- I dont think I have ever included this in a post before! I read a handful of blogs daily and seriously its like I know them! But its also kinda creepy bc I rarely comment because I am always at work on my phone ;) ) Anyways... I thought I would join in on this because their posts made me laugh every time I had a "I do that too!" moment.

Soooo.... if you really knew me would know that I have been sleeping with a teddy bear since I was 7 (so what if I turned 26 in March?)

- I'm left-handed and when I write I use my right hand to hold the paper still (like most people) and people ALWAYS comment how long my fingers are.... weird.

- I'm super shy when I dont know people which usually comes across bitchy... but Im also bitchy ;)

- I looooove Mountain Dew but because I know its horrible for you... I have been limiting myself to 2/day for a while. But now with trying to eat better and get in shape for the wedding... I have been really trying to cut it out. Plus I saw somewhere about "Mountain Dew Mouth" and OMG. Eww. Google it.

If you really knew me...

-you would know that I am VERY particular about how I sleep. I have to have covers and I have to have a fan. Currently there are 3 fans in our room- mine, hers, and the ceiling fan. What? Its GA. And HOT! & we keep the air on 65 at night. Dont be jealous.

- Along with sleeping... There must be something I like on tv. Im scared of bad dreams and avoid waking up to "scary stuff". Therefore I put in dvds before I sleep. I have everything I love on dvd (Like Friends, How I met your mother, Big Bang Theory) So we pick one of those. Currently we are sleeping to the 8th season of Friends.

- We used to rock Mango to sleep and sing to him Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty (Google it if I lost you with that one!)

- I have 5 tattoos. And planning to get a new in September.

- You would know that I dance around the apartment when I clean with the music blaring.

- I cant stand my phone to be bright... especially at night. Jessica's phone is sooooo bright and when she shows me stuff on Pinterest at night... I feel like I am being blinded by the sun! But she says she cant see anything on my phone lol

- I love clouds! I just love how big and beautiful they are... even when its a thunderstorm. Oh. I. Love. Thunderstorms.

Lesbian thoughts on Magic Mike ; )

So since Im actually off this 4th of July, Mom came down to hang out with us. & of course she wants to see Magic Mike. I didnt know what it was really about... other than it was male strippers. Hmmm... not exactly my cup of tea but whatever. So I watched the previews on youtube & lemme just say

O.M.G.

 Matthew McConaughey looked a little weird in this movie.
I get that his character is supposed to be sleezy but he just looked so thin.
But this scene was pretty hot.

Channing's solos were AMAZING. This is my fav of course ;)

Now I love me some Channing Tatum & Jess does too. That is the one & only man Jess will ever say is hot. I especially love when he dances.. especially in a hoodie and sweatpants, all "thug-style" Yum!

After this comment is when people usually get a confused look and say "Wait! What?? Arent you a lesbian?"  Lol. Yes I am. But I am not blind... I still appreciate a sexy man with nice abs that can dance! I just wouldnt date him. Yep.. literally just wrote that on my fb 5 min ago.

Anyways back to the movie... It was pretty good. Clearly all the money went into producing them dancing because the rest of the movie look rather low budget to me. Some parts seems like the camera was shaking and the lighting was jumpy... kinda made me sick. But of course the strip club scenes were on point which I guess evened out the rest. :) That plot was somewhat flat and I think could have been removed from the movie and might have made it a little better. All in all it was worth it & I would see it again.

After the movie, we went to Waffle House. Hey its a free day when Mom comes down... No diets! WH was a mistake! First of all, when we walked in 4 tables were dirty, piled with dishes and several seats at the bar covered in dishes! Strike #1 The rest of the tables were full with customer still TRYING to order. I have a serious obsession with customer service. Yes they greeted us but when we stood near a booth the waitress says "oh we dont have any clean tables right now. I guess I need to clean one." Strike #2 Umm I was ready to walk back out right then. Dont make it obvious that you know your tables are dirty and then make it seem like a chore to clear it for customers. Ugh. But I knew Jess was hungry so I kept my mouth shut. The woman finally comes back, cleans the table as SLOW as she possibly can!! We sit and wait for her to return to get our drink order. Meanwhile, other customers are piling up at the door waiting to pay so they can leave but she hasnt even written up their ticket!! OMG! I'll be damned if I wait and wait and wait to give you my money. Finally she comes back to get our drink order and as she goes to get them, she leaves her pen & order book on our table. Umm what?! She left it like it was her damn desk. She comes back 5 min later with our drinks, like 2 pieces of ice in each cup, and says "were outta straws" & walks away. No way in hell am I putting my mouth on a WH cup. Nope. Plus the water looked muggy. Ew. Yep strike #3. Again, I kept my mouth shut because I love my baby and she was hungry. Food was gross and burned. As we got ready to leave, we said we needed out check to the so-called waitress who says yea. Yea? um ok. Shouldnt have been surprised by that. We firgured up our total and handed her a $20 and walked up. So not standing around to WAIT to pay you. ahhhh....

Guilty Pleasures ~ Summer 2012

Aside from working ALL THE TIME right now... I am spending my days late-nights watching re-runs of old shows ... I have closed every night for the last 2 weeks due to training people. With several new people & me going back down to one day/week when school starts back, it has been CrAzY! I usually get off work around midnight & sleep till noon everyday. My life has been quite vampire like... ;)

We have been staying up super late watching netflix. We have been watching re-runs Grey's Anatomy & Bones all day everyday...

Other than watching old re-runs... abcfamily is seriously rocking my world these days. I love me some PLL!

I watch this EVERY week on my ipad.

We cut out cable to save money for moving, the Wedding, & the honeymoon

Truthfully, we havent missed cable. We have Hulu & Netflix and Abc has *FREE* that show current shows.

Few things I would say to the PLL:

1. Stop letting people walk out of a room without finishing a damn conversation. So much could be solved this way!

2. Stay away from shady places that yall always get caught in and make yall look guilty.

3. Screw A. Tell anyone & everyone about these threats including those shady ass cops.

4. Tell your parents the truth about all this A crap so they will stop thinking yall are guilty of something all the time.

5. Stop going places alone. Geez.

Everyday I find more and more projects I want to make. I am contemplating quitting school and work.. just to do these things with my momma.

We looove reality tv. We love the shows about big families.. good thing too, because these days almost every show is about multiples and cupcakes! :) That being said, we have a new favorite.

We love this new show Sister Wives. Im very fascinated by polygamy. Not the controlling, marrying child brides kind, but the ones like this show features. I like the way they function as a whole family, treating everyone like their own. What I really like about this family is 2 of the wives wanted plural marriage even without him. It wasnt something they settled for just to be with him. They wanted sister wives as much as they wanted him. One of them even jokes that at times in her life she may have wanted the sister wives more. haha.
This show seemed to raise alot of concern for other viewers as they didnt see it as a moral or suitable show to be aired on TL.C. Oddly enough TL.C stands for the learning channel. So I would think we are supposed to learn from this show. It may not be the way most people want to raise their children or even marry into. But whether or not you like it, it is what it is. The fact is, some people do live like this and function day to day. People always judge what they dont understand. I dont judge this kind of thing, because its not my place to judge. They are living their lives and raising children to believe in themselves and think for themselves. The way they live isnt hurting anyone, and its not up to anyone to say whether its right or wrong. Anyways, I like the show alot. Christine is my favorite, I think. Shes the domestic one that takes care of the house and kids. I like that :)
We like the show, although we dont believe in it for ourselves. We are strictly monogamous.

I Could Really Use A Wish Right Now

>After the Beach. New Place. New Job.

>We loved the beach. Although it was cloudy most the weekend, we loved being on the beach for the first time together. We played in the ocean a little bit but mostly swam in the pool because the waves were too rough. We had airbrushed tshirts made that say Shell & Bake! And we had the dogs shirts made too!! The night we got back home, my car was broke into :( my portable dvd player & mp3 player was stolen. They didnt take my gps though... thank God for that. And our front door lock was broke. The landlord said he wouold try to get to it in the next week. Plus, the floor boards in the bedroom has been coming straight up in the bedroom... so needless to say.. we moved out. We were terrified to stay in that house and Jess hating leaving me there alone. We decided that sleeping with a baseball bat next to our bed was not worth $600/month. So we moved. And I LOVE THE NEW PLACE AND FEEL SAFE NOW!!!

I started working this week. Feels almost just like it did 2 years ago when I quit. I hate being the new girl though.. people just stare at me. Uh yes im new. thanks for staring. :) Best thing is Im starting back in the customer service position I left in.... pays good too!! :) I hate being away from Jess though. Our schedules are clashing and were missing each other. Guess thats real life... weve been spoiled for 2 years almost always being together.

Its Tuesday.. And our Tuesdays suck.

>BEACH - Here We Come!!

>Today, we are going on our first vacation to the beach together. I havent been to the beach in 3 years, and Jess hasnt been in 4. Were super excited, and cant wait to do the clique things like walk on the beach at night, get airbrushed tshirts, and write our names in the sand. <3 it! So so so so excited.

Unfortunately, our babies are at grandmas this weekend. I couldnt find a single hotel that would allow our tiny 5 lbs dogs. >=/ Not even with a deposit. So last night, we drove all the way home to my moms at almost 10pm. I miss them something crazy, but I know theyre in good hands. i hate the quiet of the house without little pitter-patter of 8 tiny feet on the floors.

>This has been crazy with midterms and studying non-stop!! Last night, my history exam had me so nervous and sick, I didnt think I would survive. I did manage to take the test and actually feel good about it. After the test, I got me some dinner and sat in our bed to relax before diving into hardcore biology study time. Jess was away at a game, that I unfortunately had to miss because of my study history test =/ (but they won!) So I started studying and then it happened. The severe winter storm newscast was shutting schools down left and right for most of GA! Woohoo! Unfortunately, nothing ever happens in our little college town so I assumed everywhere but here would be covered in snow and I would HAVE to take my biology exam. I studied till Jess got home, checked our emails hoping for a cancel notice.. but nope.. no such luck. So we went to sleep.. and prayed for snow!! =)
And... this morning, nothing. No Snow. Jess checked her email again, nothing. So she dressed, put Kiwi in bed with me, and left for class. (She always leaves before me) I layed there, mentally studying my flashcards I had memorized, when IT happened. A text message that said "No Classes Today =)" Woohoo!! I jumped out of bed and sure enough my classes were all cancelled!! YAYYYYY!! I only wished at this point that Jess' school was cancelled too. Although, her school cancelled everything after 12... lame.. because she was done then!! And still nothing.. no snow.. anywhere. Just tv warnings scrolling saying it was coming. I so didnt care because I now have a 4 day weekend (monday is president's day= no school!) Then, around 4pm the snow arrived and covered everything in sight in just a few minutes. Our little town is now a gorgeous snow postcard ;)

So I know I don't write blogs on here that often, but this subject is very close to my heart! Since I can remember, I have wanted kids. The same is to be said for my wifey. From the first time we talked to each other online the night we meet, baby names has been a topic of discussion. So after being together almost 2 years, we have came to the agreement of our children's names! So here they are. In the order of which they are born.

Boys
1) Preston Christopher (Christopher after her Brother)
2) Aiden Lucas ( Aiden from Sex in the City and Lucas from One Tree Hill)
3) Jordan Kane ( Jordan for her moms married name and Kane after my nephew)

Girls
1) Skyler Machelle ( Machelle after my sister and niece)
2) Peyton Elise ( Peyton from One Tree Hill and Elise after her niece)
3) Jesslyn Faith ( Jesslyn....after me)

Here's the funny part about 2 of these names. The very first time we ever talked online and I told her my name, she acted a little shocked like she couldn't believe that my name was in fact Jessica Lynn. When I asked why it was so strange that it was my name she told me that since she was little she always wanted her baby girl to be named Jessicka Lynn. (Yes I know her version has an extra letter in it but still...what irony). So that's where Jesslyn comes from! The second named that has significance to it is Skyler. When she asked me what I wanted my first daughter's name to be I told her Skyler. Again she thought I was joking. But no. I had loved this name ever since I can remember. And of course, so had she. And we even agreed on the spelling!

I know these 2 seemingly random facts about the two of us seem unimportant..But I believe that our conversation that night was the start of the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me. And to be honest, I think that night is when I started to fall in love with the woman of my dreams!

>This has been a great year!! Looking back, we've had many ups and downs in our lives this year, but somehow we made it to exactly where we wanted to be. This year we moved into our first apartment, celebrated our 1st year together and made through another year of school... just a litte closer to our dreams now. :)

Were staying in this New Year's Eve as we are home bodies and prefer not to be caught up in the drama of going out, drinking and hangovers!! ;) So were watching movies, playing wii, and counting down to the peach drop! Maybe one year we'll go out and see what all the fuss is about, but for now its just us and our chi-chi.

We will.... as soon as we find one!! ( Mom informed me that her and my aunt found the most perfect Precious Moments Nativity at a thrift store for $3.. that had never been open... I LOVE PM!!! But she I guess didnt think my love for PM was that intense so they didnt buy it... although my aunt told her to buy it cuz it would match the PM snowglobe that Jess had just bought me!! oh... well...)

I say A Christmas Carol- the cheesy modern day ones are my favorite!!

The Santa Claus Trilogy, Elf, and pretty much all the Hallmark Channel and Lifetime sappy Christmas Movies!!

Yes. we try to every year! We made it our tradition last year.. Ive always done it with my family.

mostly candy... but my mom always stuffed mine with apples and oranges.. although I cant eat the fruit... I love the smell that lingers from it in my stocking.
